Warning: The Washington Nationals Do Not Advocate Lady Punching
Despite the obviously incomplete picture portrayed in this fraction of a drawing, the Washington Nationals baseball club would like officially go on the record as being against slugging unsuspecting women in the back of the head. That's a relief.
We all had a good laugh at this National tickets stub yesterday—it's funny because it's in two dimensions—but serious people take these things seriously and that is why we got this official communiqué from the Nats' front office, along with the full image above that explains how the organization is not pro-assault and battery.
Please note that our Season Ticket holders who received their ticket books would have seen the entire illustration, which depicts a family celebrating a Nationals home run together. I've attached a copy of what the picture looks like. As you see, there is no violence being portrayed.
Duly noted. Donkey punches bad, John Lannan ... good? I think we all learned something important today.
