The Spoiler’s Greatest Ever Barcelona XI
Last night Barcelona looked like one of the truly great football teams, which got The Spoiler to thinking: how many of them would make it into an all-time Barcelona XI?
After much banging of heads on desks, trying to squeeze the likes of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Figo, Kubala, Luiz Suarez, Xavi, Koeman, Stoichkov, Schuster and numerous other greats into just one team, above is what we came up with.
Messi and Puyol make the grade, whilst Xavi and Iniesta can count themselves unlucky to be competing against two footballers who would make a Greatest Ever World XI in Maradona and Cruyff.
Plus Michael Laudrup, who happens to be The Spoiler's favourite ever player.
Guardiola got the nod to add a bit of balance to the side.
It is, of course, open to furious debate, should you so wish. Please leave your suggestions in the comments section.
