Three years ago, Muhammad Ali and his wife, Lonnie, approached artist (and baseball junkie) Michael Kalish to create an original sculpture. The result is what you see here, a two-story installation with 1,300 punching bags suspended from a steel frame.
The sculpture looks like a gathering of leather balloons from all angles except the front, where it turns into Ali's face. The champ himself will hang the final punching bag at the sculpture's unveiling in LA on March 25. Check out Gizmodo for more photos.
