Jim Riggleman Partied Away His Sorrows Last Night
There are very good arguments to be made on both sides of Jim Riggleman's stunning resignation from the Nationals yesterday. You could say that he's earned a contract extension, and you'd be right. You could say that he signed a contract and he should honor it, and you'd be right.
But there's no argument that Riggleman needed a stiff drink last night, and Nats Enqurier was all over it.
Riggleman hit up Caddies in Bethesda, badmouthing Mike Rizzo and generally having a grand old time. Said Riggleman today,
"I was solving the world's problems last night at Caddies...I had to let those ladies get a look at me...There are some beautiful young ladies in that place!"
Riggleman did a radio spot this morning on Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan in DC (audio starts at the 19:00 mark), and says he had fun, but that he stuck to his self-imposed 2-drink limit. He's earned a party, so let's hope he didn't stick to a 2-girl limit.
