Torrey Smith Wants You To Know He Wasn't Tim Tebow When He Was In College
Cris Collinsworth mentioned Sunday night that Ravens rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith did not drink or smoke during his time at the University of Maryland. This struck some people as odd, since one wonders what else there is to do in College Park if both booze and cigarettes are removed from the undergraduate experience there. (Besides arson.)
Smith did spend his childhood helping his single mother raise his six siblings, so it makes sense that keg stands and bumming smokes were not a priority once he went to college. When people were bemused by the news of his sobriety, Smith's first reaction was pride. But he followed that up with the above tweet, to let everyone know those years weren't spent without the devil on at least one of his shoulders.
