After Last Night's Botched Trade, Danny Granger Says He's Changing His Name To "Stern's Bi#&h"
If you were following the whirlwind that came with last night's planned, and then nixed three-team trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Lakers, you probably caught some of the athlete reactions. Paul, going for subtlety, tweeted, "WoW," while Lamar Odom—after a teary interview with Stephen A. Smith— told the Los Angeles Times, "I don't know what to do for the Lakers. I'm even weirded out by the league doing what they did."
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do," he added. Yikes.
Indiana's Danny Granger, who was completely unaffected by all of this, took a different route:
Due to the sabotaging of the LA/NO trade by david stern, and following in the footsteps of my athlete brethern Metta World Peace and Chad Ochocinco, I'm changing my last name to "Stern's Bi#&h" #effectiveimmediately
He was kidding, of course. The NBA store doesn't allow punctuation on its customized jerseys, but if anyone's inclined, there is a Pacers #33 jersey with "STERNSBITCH" stitched on the back available for $59.99. Of course, it probably makes more sense to get it in New Orleans colors.
