"The only reason we showed it to the press was so they would know we were serious," attorney Burt Boltuch told me. "No. I don't want it out there in the media." I told him we did this kind of thing here. Didn't change his mind.
When asked to describe the photo, Boltuch said, "It's a very graphic color picture of an African-American penis dangling there, with Warriors sweatpants lowered." Boltuch declined to comment on whether the penis was erect.
"I don't care if it was his. It doesn't matter. He sent it and said it was his." According to Boltuch, another Warriors employee held on to the cellphone for Ellis and let him use it when he needed to send explicit texts.
He said the Warriors have known about the matter since last January and haven't done anything about it, aside from firing his client.
"Cover-ups are the culture in the sports world. Ohio State, Penn State, Syracuse, Andrew [sic] Weiner, when does it end?"
