Super Bowl 46 Open Thread
Well, here it is in all its bloated glory. The Super Bowl. Enjoy chitchatting with all your e-friends down in the comments.
New York Giants at New England Patriots (NBC): Yes, technically the Patriots are the home team. Just like the last time these two teams hooked up in the Super Bowl. Therefore it seems fairly obvious that Victor Cruz will make a game-changing catch by pinning the ball to his ass with his foot only to be out of football in a year.
There's talk that this game will absolve the Patriots from their cheating ways and somehow legitimize the Super Bowls that (some) considered tainted due to Spygate. Well, that's stupid isn't it? What does winning one Super Bowl, years after the fact with an entirely different team, have to do with those other Super Bowls? Besides, how can a Super Bowl be tainted. They won. Hines Ward and Amani Toomer can cry all they want, but that's just the way it goes. The Patriots aren't motivated to win because of Spygate—they're motivated to win because Bill Belichick is a robot hellbent on making everyone else miserable.
