Spanish Forward Wants Out Of England, Says His Daughter "Looks Like She's Been Living In A Cave"
Photo: Alex Caparros/ [object Object] Out of favor Manchester City forward Nolito, who started only nine matches last season, wants to leave the club due to his lack of playing time, the difficulty of learning English, and because he doesn’t want his daughter turning into a sallow-faced, English-looking person.
Speaking to Spanish station El Transistor, Nolito said: “My daughter’s face has changed color. It looks like she’s been living in a cave.”
He elaborated on his motivations and struggles in England:
“I am under the contract, so the club will decide, but I want to leave. I haven’t played in six months. I will do everything possible to make Spain’s World Cup squad.
...
“I have learned very, very little English – it’s very hard. Just ‘tomorrow’, ‘good morning’, ‘good afternoon’ and a little more.”
Nolito has been linked to a move to Sevilla, where he was photographed talking to Sevilla’s sporting director. However, Nolito claimed in the interview that the meeting was purely by chance:
“I was just casually shopping for clothes for my wife in Sevilla. I went to get a coffee and bumped into Sevilla’s director of football casually.”
Good luck, Nolito, and may your own personal Brexit help your daughter’s complexion recover.
