NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman Is Broke, Owes $800K In Child Support, Won't Go To Jail
Alleged deadbeat dad Dennis Rodman is not doing too well these days. Facing more than $800,000 in owed child support payments to his ex-wife, Rodman was facing four counts of contempt of court and serious jail time if convicted. Today, the commissioner overseeing his case delayed his next hearing until May 29 and said he will not face any jail time.
Instead, Rodman will do some stretch of community service, but this hearing served as a stark reminder of what some players lives end up as following a long career. Rodman, who made something like $27 million during his career by some accounts, is now broke and owes, in addition to the child and spousal support, about $100,000 in back taxes. He is currently earning about $50,000 a year in income.
