In an age of exclusive broadcast contracts, choice in television viewership is a rarity for live sports programming. The NFL Draft is the most prominent remaining event for which viewers can choose—in this case, between ESPN and the NFL Network. The latter's going all-out to try and grab a bigger share of the audience this year with a horde of reporters prepared to do live shots from myriad locations, though less-prepared, it would seem, are the producers, directors, and other staff necessary to make those live shots happen seamlessly. Today, it was Melissa Stark & the rest of the studio panel left a bit hanging. [NFLN]
