Little League Kids Score 10 Runs In Bottom Of Sixth To Tie Championship Game, ABC Local Affiliates Switch To Preseason Football

The little tykes from California playing in the Little League World Series (U.S. Championship final) scored 10 runs in their last licks to tie the game. This is the home run that sealed the comeback. Unfortunately, Tennessee put up nine more runs in the top of the seventh and won 24-16, so it was all for naught.

But! People are freaking out at their local ABC affiliates for switching to NFL preseason games, so it was all for something, as far as we're concerned. So far at least Detroit and Buffalo have been adversely impacted.

Robbin Ward I cannot believe you guys stop showing the Little League World Series right after a homerun was hit to tie the game in the final innings to show Lions pre-game in the PRESEASON! You obviously don't understand what a good game is all about. Very disappointed in Channel 7. Absolutely unbelieveable.

James Ferguson I was watching the LLWorld Series and the California team comes back in the bottom of the 6 th inning down 10 runs and ties the game!!!! What do you guys do but switch over to the LOUSY PRE-SEASON LIONS GAME!!! What were you thinking? Who cares about the lions pre-season game? A very terrible decision on your part!!!! BOOOO to you all at WXYZ!!!!!

ESPN.com has a typo on some obscure page that three people have ever visited? OMG LOLLERS!!!!

USATF leaves somebody off a relay team, creating an opportunity to feign outrage over a sport you clearly don't follow? YES PLEASE!!!

NBC has the audacity to show something taped, or not show something at all, in the course of producing the Olympics? THEY ARE SO STUPID!!!

So yeah, sure, let's pretend to be appalled that some ABC affiliates switched to NFL preseason pregame coverage. Is there really any question that far more viewers would rather watch an NFL preseason pregame show than little league baseball? No, it's just a chance for you to pretend that there is some reason to "let loose." It's just lazy writing by someone who evidently has nothing to say.
