This Makes Too Much Terrible Sense: Isiah Thomas Is Up For A Studio Gig At ESPN
Is ESPN just trolling us? Phil Mushnick reported in The New York Post last week that Isiah Thomas is a "candidate for a studio position with ESPN," and a spokesman confirmed with USA Today that he had an audition.
But wait, wasn't Thomas headed back to the Knicks? That's what we heard a few weeks ago until that story just suddenly disappeared. Either ESPN doesn't mind sticking a thumb in everyone's eye by bringing him on—Thomas's first run as an analyst was unremarkable at best—or Thomas's people are really, really good at floating his name for job possibilities. Either way, we lose.
