The Wizards Went To Six Flags, And Emeka Okafor Was Too Tall To Ride The Roller Coaster [UPDATE]
Last night saw a party for Washington season ticket holders at Six Flags America—a night spent going on rides with and getting autographs from all their favorite Wizards, and Cartier Martin too. Reader Mike was there, and he saw something he'd never seen before: a person being turned away from a ride because they were too tall.
Emeka Okafor, to the delight of employees and teammates, was deemed too tall to go on the Superman: Ride of Steel. Which really sucks, because the coaster is totally awesome. The 6-10 Okafor is going to have to content himself with the Coyote Creek Crazy Cars, which are fun for all ages, which means "fun for no one." This world wasn't made for tall people.
Update: This one just gets sadder. Reader Andrew was there too last night, and notes that Okafor had already boarded the ride and was strapped in before staff took him off. The ordeal lasted 20 minutes, Andrew says.
