The timing on this is remarkable. Taking a spike off the face seems part of the cost of doing business in volleyball, but having a renegade volleyball track you down on the sidelines and take you out is something else entirely.

At about the :07 mark the play begins and a spectator in black, about halfway up the risers, begins to stir. He then makes a beeline for the sideline as team red serves to team blue. There is a dig, a set up and a spike that lands firmly on that poor girl's face. All the while, the man (child?) in black races down the sideline only looking back at the last moment—too late—to see the ball bearing down on him. No matter how fast he runs, he knows. He knows.
