Virgil Is Selling Photos Of Himself In Grand Central Subway Station Right Now
This afternoon, on a message board devoted to reports of wrestler run-ins (a topic near and dear to our hearts), a poster shared a story that took place Thursday evening, during the heart of the evening rush hour at New York's second-busiest subway station. Virgil, whose last reported sighting was selling signed photos in Pittsburgh, has come to Midtown Manhattan. He's come to sell signed photos.
Yesterday I was on my way home from work. I was navigating the subway station just as I usually do, however something was different. Instead of the usual guys selling toys or making balloon dogs, there was The Man, The Myth, The Legend.... He had his usual stack of photos and 2 name placards. I was in such shock I doubled back, just so I could get this video for you guys.
The video quality is terrible, and you don't get a glimpse of Virgil until 25 seconds in. But there he is, waiting for someone to make eye contact, a stack of glossies resting on the column in front of him. The poster continues:
[W]hen I made the pass the first time I saw him talking to somebody holding their wallet and then the person began laughing and walked away.
Earlier this evening, Virgil was spotted again at Grand Central. He posed for the photo above. Update: The asking price was $20. He was haggled down to $5.
And here's another:
We've dispatched an emissary to see if he's still there. We have questions for him, and he has a question of his own:
