Halftime Interview With Just-Concussed Athlete Doesn't Go So Well
They call sideline reporters boundary riders in Australia. Boundary rider and former Australian rules footballer Cameron Ling thought it would be a good idea to do a halftime interview with St. Kilda's Dylan Roberton the other day. It wasn't.
Roberton is dazed and incoherent; he had just been laid out by a high hit to the head from Port Adelaide's Tom Jonas. The shoulder blow was so severe it even sent Roberton's headband flying. Jonas later drew a four-match suspension that's since been reduced to three. After just one question, Ling has no choice but to cut the interview short.
