HS Football Team's Season Cancelled After Reports Of Waterboarding
The Central Bucks West High School football team in Doylestown, Penn., has had the last two games of its season cancelled after an internal investigation revealed that members of the team had engaged in "improper conduct." According to police, several of the football players participated in hazing rituals that included waterboarding and forcing younger players to grab teammates' genitals.
From The Intelligencer:
Central Bucks Regional Police Chief James Donnelly said that on Wednesday police investigated allegations of hazing involving the "waterboarding" of younger players by seniors on the team. He said towels were placed over the heads of the younger players, who were then sent into the showers. He said there is no indication of criminal activity.
In case you aren't familiar with waterboarding, it is a torture technique meant to simulate the sensation of drowning. Teenagers are awful.
