There are several Mike Francesa-on-the-pope videos floating around right now, but we highly suggest this one, courtesy of WFAN Audio. It's 15 minutes, yes, but it's well worth the listen.

Mike Francesa decided to give a running commentary on the selection of the new pope today. It is amazing. Among the many great nuggets, you'll find:

We have a pope. So let’s see what we’re up to. We have a pope. That doesn’t even look white. Is that white? I guess it is. Is that their version of white smoke? I guess it is. It looks kinda dark to me but I guess that’s their version of white smoke.

I know a lot of people like the Philippine pope but they say he’s too young. He’s 55. He’d be the pope for a very long time probably. A lot of the older popes don’t like to have a pope very young, who’s gonna be a pope for many, many years."

The Italian is the pope. The favorite is the pope. It was the lead Italian who is next the pope.

I wonder if you come in the top three or four, does it mean you have a good chance next time? You know what I mean? Does that put you in the mix? Or does that exclude you in the future?

Who is this man?

I don’t know how to say his name to be exact.

Let’s see if I can get a little bio on him as to what kind of pope we’re talking about.

There must be two popes from Argentina.

They went for an older pope, OK.

If you'd like a condensed version, here's Francesa trying to pronounce Jorge Mario Bergoglio. We'll leave you with this:
