Tony Allen Kicks Chris Paul In The Face, Gets Ejected
Tony Allen earned a Flagrant 2 foul and an ejection tonight after taking the maxim "play defense with your feet" a little too literally.
Allen's boot caught Clippers guard Chris Paul in the face as Paul attempted to penetrate in the first quarter of tonight's Memphis-L.A. bout at Staples Center, and after reviewing the play officials were left with no choice but to eject the two-time NBA All-Defensive teamer. Paul seemed to be fine; he made both free throws after the foul and scored a bucket on the Clips' retained possession. [FSW]
