What Is This Photo Of The Duke Basketball Team Handling Assault Rifles?
We received this picture from a reader early Saturday & spent most of the day trying to figure out where it came from or what it's really depicting. We're at a loss, and maybe you have some answers.
All we know is some Duke basketball players posted the picture to their personal Facebooks this weekend. We don't even know if those are real guns (they look sort of like M4 Carbines, but the resolution isn't great). If you have details, leave them below (use a burner account if you need to stay anonymous).
Update (1:35 a.m.): Well, that was quick. Duke took a trip to West Point, Coach K's alma mater, & took some target practice.
Looks like they didn't get much training in gun safety.
