Why Is Someone Who's Purportedly Pacman Jones In Handcuffs Again? (UPDATED)

According to cincinnati.247.sports, "the car [Pacman Jones] was driving was forced off the road and onto the sidewalk by another car. As a result Jones apparently hit a pedestrian.
"According to witnesses at the scene no one was injured but Jones was seen in handcuffs and later was taken away in a Cincinnati police car."
This happened shortly after the mighty Cincinnati Bengals lost to the mightier Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For more, I'm sure you can go to Chad Johnson or Terrell Owens' Twitter pages. Likely intro: "The man won't leave Adam alone." Which is true. And the man should. Or else. Lending more credence to this theory is the fact that there aren't any news stories about the Pacman arrest that I could find at 7:28 p.m.
UPDATE: The Bengals say Pacman was, in fact, arrested but has been released.
A rumor running rampant on Twitter and the Internet at large involves a contention that Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones was arrested after Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. The Bengals tell us that Pacman Jones indeed was arrested. But the Bengals also claim that Jones has been released. Per Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan, the police have characterized it as a case of mistaken identity. [ Pro Football Talk]
