Brett Brown Is As Perplexed By Markelle Fultz's Shot As You Are
Photo credit: Winslow Townson/ [object Object] The fog surrounding Markelle Fultz and his possibly injured shoulder and definitely broken jumper has started to lift, and the Sixers are now beginning to admit that everyone’s worst fear has come true: Markelle Fultz is healthy, but he still cannot shoot a basketball properly.
Yesterday brought some extremely depressing footage of Fultz trying to shoot jumpers at practice, and a quote from head coach Brett Brown confirming that Fultz’s troubles are owed to much more than just his shoulder injury. Before today’s game against the Raptors, Brown spoke about the situation more expansively, and admitted that he’s in uncharted territory:
Brown was then asked how he thought Fultz could go about getting his shot back, and his answer wasn’t super inspiring. Basically, they are going to work on it:
