Early 2026 World Series Betting Odds: Can Anyone Stop the Dodgers?
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series, meaning the baseball offseason is officially here.
We have several months before spring training gets going, but it’s never too early to peek at some future betting markets.
If the Los Angeles Dodgers don’t three-peat in 2026, the smart bets could actually be sleepers, as all of the other betting favorites have some serious question marks heading into next season.
These are some betting favorites to win the 2026 World Series. Odds via FanDuel.
Los Angeles Dodgers (+350)
The Dodgers are the heavy favorite to win the 2026 World Series. This would be their third-consecutive title.
As baseball’s collective bargaining agreement expires next season, the Dodgers winning a third straight World Series would complicate the future of the MLB.
But it’s easy to see the path for them to do so. Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are all under contract. Not to mention, it sounds like the Dodgers are expected to be suitors for top free agent Kyle Tucker.
There’s no reason to believe that the Dodgers will not keep trying to improve this stellar roster.
New York Yankees (+700)
The Yankees having the next best odds at a World Series is a bit surprising.
Of course, they’re always a trendy bet. But New York’s batting lineup without Juan Soto just didn’t seem right for most of the season.
Aaron Judge is really good, but he’d need a major breakthrough in the MLB Playoffs for this bet to cash.

Philadelphia Phillies (+1000)
Keep an eye out for what happens with the Phillies this offseason.
There’s already some weirdness going on with superstar slugger Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber is a free agent. Obviously, if Philadelphia were to lose those two players, it would completely tank these odds.
On the flip side, if Harper and Schwarber return as they both should, the Phillies will still need some work to do in order to dethrone the Dodgers in the National League.
New York Mets (+1100)
From missing the MLB Playoffs to winning the World Series would be quite the story.
But the Mets should have the talent and the payroll required to pull that off.
All eyes will be on Pete Alonso’s free agency decision this winter, but the Mets have invested a lot of cash into players like right fielder Juan Soto and shortstop Francisco Lindor. They need to be better.
