Former Craig Sager Colleague Rachel Nichols Reports His Death Live On ESPN
Rachel Nichols, who worked alongside Craig Sager for three years at Turner Sports, bore the weight of reporting his death today at the top of today’s episode of The Jump on ESPN2.
The first segment of the program became a tribute to Sager, led by Nichols alongside Brian Windhorst and Tracy McGrady. As we’ve seen in the past, some of the best work ESPN ever does is in recognizing the accomplishments and value of its colleagues—even those, in this case, who don’t work at the WWL—in the moments after learning of those colleagues’ deaths.
