Francisco Liriano Hospitalized After Taking A Liner To The Head
Screencap via [object Object] Jays reliever Francisco Liriano left the team’s win against the Rangers in the eighth inning after taking a liner from Carlos Gomez to the neck.
Liriano went into the dugout before leaving in a neck brace shortly after. He went to the hospital briefly, and it’s unclear how severely he is injured. ESPN reports that he was “alert and looked like he was doing well.” After Liriano left the game, Roberto Osuna took over and led the Blue Jays to a win. They’re now up 2-0 on the Rangers in the ALDS.
