I know Jokio looks like a sweepstakes casino, but it’s not. You deposit real money into an account, then use it to buy a virtual currency called Credits – but that’s where the similarities end. Whenever you purchase a Credits package, the money you spend is used by the system to place random parimutuel bets on real life horse races.
The results of those horse races are used to determine the outcomes whenever you play casino-style games, such as slots, dice and roulette. It might sound weird, but it’s really just the same as an online casino. Think about it.
Those games use RNG (random number generator) software to decide the result, before showing you an animated representation of the outcome. We don’t really care about the technology used to arrive at the result, as long as it’s fair and random. Well, this is the same thing – they’re just using racing results to mix things up, instead of a computer.
Jokio is simply being innovative. These unusual mechanics are a little-known, but completely legal, way of offering real money wagering. Because it’s 100% dependent on the results of parimutuel horse racing, it’s not technically a casino. Okay, now we understand how everything works at Jokio, let’s get back to the signup promo I mentioned. It’s pretty simple – if you make a net loss in your first 24 hours on the site, you’ll get 100% of those Credits back.
There are a few points to consider, though.
First, you’re only covered up to 100 Credits – if you lose more than that, you’ll get the maximum 100 back. Second, you must wager at least 10 Credits to qualify.
Next, the “Creditback” bonus carries a 1x playthrough requirement. Now, that’s not unusual in itself – it’s fairly common, in fact. However, you can only withdraw winnings from any games played with these returned Credits.
For example, let’s say you lose 20 Credits, which are returned as a bonus. You then wager all 20 bonus Credits on casino games, winning 15. The original 20 Credits used to place the bet aren’t returned. But the 15 Credits of profit are automatically converted to withdrawable cash.

You don’t need to enter a special Jokio bonus code anywhere to qualify. The system keeps track of your profit and loss automatically – if you’re eligible for a Creditback bonus, it’ll be credited within 72 hours.
I was a bit disappointed to learn how few promotions Jokio has for existing players. But at the same time, it’s worth remembering it only opened in June 2026, so there’s every chance they’ll add more in the coming weeks and months.
It’s also not a sweepstakes casino, even if it resembles one. Perhaps it was wrong of me to expect things like a daily login bonus, or free Credits through an alternative method of entry system. Still, it would’ve been nice to see a loyalty program, but that doesn’t exist here either.
There aren’t even any social media accounts to follow, which can often be a good source of bonuses at similar platforms. For now, there are just two offers to be aware of – the Monday Boost promo, and a friend referral bonus.
This is a discretionary promotion, where eligible players may be selected to receive a bonus. It’s not made entirely clear how you become eligible, though it’s almost certainly linked to how often you play, and how much you’re wagering.
Every Monday, qualifying players receive one of two kinds of bonus, credited between the hours of 11am and 1pm PST:
Jokio does reward you for referring friends, but honestly, it’s not the best bonus I’ve ever seen. Although the promotion promises up to 100 credits per new recruit, it’s actually quite hard to secure the full amount.
First of all, make sure your friend signs up through your unique referral link. Without this, there’s no way to attribute them to your account. Unlike other sites, Jokio doesn’t give you a referral bonus code, for instance.
From there, your friend must spend at least $100 for you to get a 10 Credits bonus. The remaining 90 Credits are only issued once your referral has spent more than $1,600 – yikes.
There’s no official limit on the number of people you can recruit, though the promotion’s Ts&Cs state “Jokio reserves the right to limit the number of referral rewards per referrer”. I suspect that’s just there to protect them if they feel someone is abusing the promotion.
