Pacman Jones Won't Be Suspended For Slamming Amari Cooper's Head Into His Own Helmet
Kind of surprisingly, multiple reports state that Bengals corner Adam “Pacman” Jones will be fined but not suspended for ripping off Raiders WR Amari Cooper’s helmet and bashing the back of his head against it.
Jones wasn’t ejected, and his penalty didn’t even matter—his unnecessary roughness flag was offset by one on Oakland tackle Austin Howard (No. 77), who shoved Jones in retaliation.
Jones said...something.
“Whatever you seen, that’s what happened,” Jones said. “I’m not going to get into all that. I’m here to play football. I don’t back done from nobody and I ain’t out trying to start nothing. I’m just out playing football.
“There, I was ‘in the moment’ in that play. Like I said, we’re just out playing football. I’m not out to do that. I don’t want to hurt my team by no form or fashion but I’ve got to make sure I protect myself.”
