Panthers vs. 49ers Monday Night Football Week 12 Top Betting Picks, Predictions
The San Francisco 49ers will host the Carolina Panthers in a pivotal NFC matchup on Monday night.
The 49ers currently sit third in the NFC West at 7-4, while the Panthers are second in the NFC South with a 6-5 record.
There are a few key reasons why we’re laying a touchdown with San Francisco. First, they’re starting to get healthy.
The 49ers have been one of the most injured teams in the NFL this season. They’re still dealing with several injuries, but they’re getting healthier — specifically on offense.
San Francisco has played several games without Brock Purdy under center. He returned in their last game, leading the 49ers to 41 points against the Arizona Cardinals. Although he doesn’t feel like a massive upgrade over Mac Jones right now, there’s a reason he’s the franchise quarterback.
We’ve also seen George Kittle, Jauan Jennings, and Ricky Pearsall all return within recent weeks. Christian McCaffrey is healthy, and the 49ers finally have all of their weapons on offense. It shouldn’t be a surprise that they had one of their best offensive performances in their last outing.
The other major factor is where this game will take place. Carolina is coming off a huge overtime win in Atlanta last week, but they haven’t traveled well this season.

The Panthers have flashed offensively at home. They rank 12th in the NFL in points (.400) per play in Carolina. That hasn’t translated on the road, where they rank sixth-worst in the league at .259.
Carolina is averaging only 17.3 points per game away from home this season. That number is also inflated by their 30-point performance last week. That’s been their only road game with more than 22 points — otherwise, they’ve consistently been stuck in the teens.
The Panthers' defensive splits aren’t as dramatic on the road, but they’re still significant. They’re an average defense at home, allowing .361 points per play. On the road, that number jumps to .415.
Ultimately, this is a spot where we can sell high on Carolina, who is coming off a big overtime win. And it’s a chance to buy low on San Francisco, who still isn’t priced as if they’re fully healthy — even though they basically are.
