We’re more than halfway through the 2026 WNBA season with each team playing 26 of 44 games, so it’s a good time to take a look at updated WNBA Pro Basketball Champion prices from the best prediction market apps.
It’s no surprise to see that the Minnesota Lynx are heavy favorites at 41%, as they have the best record in the WNBA at 22-6. They’re followed by the Las Vegas Aces (19%) and the New York Liberty (14%). This raises one question: can anyone stop the Lynx? Are they worth trading at such a high price? Let’s dive in.
The Lynx are my prediction to win the WNBA Championship because this team is so well-rounded, dominant at both ends of the floor. However, buying into the Lynx right now would mean that you’re buying high.
The prudent move would be to wait until they hit a bit of a slump to see if you can get a better price than 41 cents. This team was at 32 cents only two weeks ago, so it’s certainly possible for this to happen.
There are three main contenders to be WNBA Pro Basketball Champions: the Lynx, Aces, and Liberty.
The Lynx (22-6) are listed at 41% to win it all. This is a team currently on a seven-game winning streak, including an impressive win over the Liberty on July 11th. Before this winning streak began on July 6th, the Lynx were at 32%, so the market has certainly moved in their favor.
This is a prolific offensive team that is putting up 91.7 points per game (2nd) while shooting 37.9% from three-point range (1st). They’re also 2nd in Defensive Rating, so it’s a team that doesn’t have a weakness right now.
What’s most impressive is their depth. The Lynx have three players averaging double-digit points, including Olivia Miles (19.6 PPG), Kayla McBride (18.1 PPG), Natasha Howard (16.1 PPG), and Courtney Williams (15.8 PPG). It’s easy to see why they’re such heavy favorites.
With that said, now is not the time to buy into the Lynx. Wait until their winning streak ends to try to get a better price.
The Aces (18-8) are next in line at 19%. You can never count out the defending champions, who have won three of the last four titles. We’ve also seen Vegas have some success against the Lynx earlier this year, beating them 100-97 on July 13th, so they’re definitely an intriguing buy right now.
This is a team that was as high as 40% on April 20th. They’ve crashed down to a much more palatable price right now. Given their postseason dominance, it’s hard not to buy in at this point. They’re currently 3rd in Offensive Rating and 5th in Defensive Rating, making them one of the most well-rounded teams in the WNBA.
A’ja Wilson continues to dominate, averaging 25.6 PPG on the season. Simply put, this is a dynasty, so underestimate Wilson and company at your own peril. I’d argue they’re a better buy than the Lynx right now.
The Liberty (15-12) aren’t playing up to expectations right now, but they’re the only team to win a WNBA Championship other than the Aces in the last four years. Even with the slow start, they’re still 5th in Offensive Rating.
With Breanna Stewart continuing to lead the way, averaging 21.1 points and 8.6 rebounds, you can’t rule out another deep postseason run. This is the best time to buy low on the Liberty, as they were listed as high as 26% on June 11th.
When trading on prediction markets, you want to buy low, making both the Liberty and the Aces better buys than the Lynx right now.
