Buffalo Bills punter Cameron Johnston will miss some time with a lower-leg injury sustained in Sunday's win against New Orleans, NFL Network reported Monday.

Johnston's plant leg bent awkwardly when he was hit hard by Saints linebacker Nephi Sewell, who was flagged for roughing the punter with 5:18 left in the fourth quarter.

Johnston was checked out by trainers and slowly walked off the field. He returned later in the quarter with a brace on his leg to hold for Matt Prater's 35-yard field goal.

The 31-19 win over the Saints was Johnston's third game with the Bills (4-0), who replaced Brad Robbins following the season opener.

Johnston, 33, has played in 99 games with the Philadelphia Eagles (2018-20), Houston Texans (2021-23), Pittsburgh Steelers (2024) and Bills.

Buffalo is expected to audition punters this week ahead of Sunday night's contest against the visiting New England Patriots (2-2).
