Mandatory Credit: Wesley Hale-Imagn Images Memphis quarterback Brendon Lewis is expected to start Saturday's home showdown against No. 18 South Florida, ESPN reported.
The senior's availability was in question all week after he left the Tigers' 31-24 loss at UAB last Saturday in the third quarter with a lower-body injury.
Lewis completed 9 of 10 passes for 68 yards before exiting that contest for Memphis (6-1, 2-1 American).
He has thrown for 1,337 yards and eight touchdowns and added 440 yards with seven scores on the ground.
South Florida (6-1, 3-0), meanwhile, is riding high after dispatching Florida Atlantic 48-13 behind another complete game from its own two-way quarterback Byrum Brown.
