Head coach Nico Estevez added six MLS players to his roster Tuesday for the July 23 All-Star Game against the Liga MX All-Stars in Austin, Texas.

Estevez, the head coach for host Austin FC, selected forwards Sam Surridge (Nashville SC) and Marco Pasalic (Orlando City) and midfielders Cristian Espinoza (San Jose Earthquakes), Carles Gil (New England Revolution), Hany Mukhtar (Nashville) and Obed Vargas (Seattle Sounders).

It is the fourth All-Star selection for Gil and Mukhtar, the second for Espinoza and the first for the other three.

Surridge is currently tied with Inter Miami's Lionel Messi in the race for the Golden Boot with 16 goals. Espinoza is second in the league with 11 assists and leads all players with 70 key passes. Mukhtar ranks first with 46 shots on target.

Gil leads the Revs with 15 goal contributions (eight goals, seven assists). Pasalic is tied for the Orlando City lead with 10 goals and the 19-year-old Vargas has one goal and three assists for Seattle.
