David Sanders Jr., the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2025 class, is scheduled to announce his college choice Saturday afternoon.
Sanders also is ranked by the 247Sports composite as the No. 2 overall player in the nation. The Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day player has four finalists: Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio State and Tennessee.
247Sports projects he will choose Tennessee, a school to which he has made multiple visits. But should he choose Ohio State, his commitment would give the Buckeyes four of the top 10-ranked players in the class.
Ohio State currently has the highest-rated class in the country, per 247Sports.
Sanders, who is 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, has been on the national radar for years. Michigan offered him a scholarship at the end of his eighth-grade season.
"David Sanders Jr. has an elite combination of athleticism and play strength at the offensive tackle position," said Charles Power, the director of scouting for On3 in a report on its website. "He's a guy we've known about for some time being dubbed and ranked as a high-end national recruit for the majority of the cycle and has continued to impress and improve throughout his high school career."
