The Cardinals Lost Their 21st Game

Garcia threw 55 pitches in 2 1/3 innings before being pulled in the third for Matt Bowman. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny was sympathetic when talking about Garcia’s rough performance. Via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch
“That was one of those days he’s going to want to forget,” Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said. “That was a rough go right from the start.
“It’s always one of those possibilities for every guy. You don’t have a good feel, you don’t have a good feel for the strike zone and it can happen in a hurry. And it did.”
The St. Louis Cardinals are 12-13 at home. There’s always the next game!
