The Cavs Are Getting Pretty Much Everyone The Fuck Out Of Here
Photo: Ronald Cortes/ [object Object] Not only have the Cavaliers given Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye the boot today, but they’re now trading four more players. (Yes, “the Cavaliers” can reasonably be interpreted as “LeBron James.”) Adios to Jae Crowder, Derrick Rose, Iman Shumpert, and Dwyane Wade. There goes a third of the roster.
Cleveland’s return, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, is Rodney Hood, George Hill, and a useless pick. Added to that from the Thomas trade is Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson. That is admittedly better than the decrepit teammates previously haunting the team’s arena.
Update (1:49 p.m. ET): Rose might not even make it to Utah.
LeBron’s circle of trust, updated to reflect today’s trades, is now J.R. Smith and Cedi Osman.
