There Is A Crack In The Yankees Mystique

The captain is sidelined. Poor regular season attendance has become a postseason reality. Even the Yankee Stadium parking lot is failing.

The Tiffany of MLB clubs, it now seems something mars the sheen of the New York Yankees. A skid mark, perhaps, a crack in the foundation that happily asks you to kiss the rings. When Mark Teixeira attempted to field a foul pop-up in the seventh inning of tonight's ALCS Game 2, of course, there's a fan to butt in and keep him from finishing the play. What an ass. Indeed, the Yankees should be happy this guy is paying for a seat, but after allowing a run they find themselves behind. If New York drops this game, you might as well pack up the buns because this series won't be returning to Yankee Stadium.
