According to the league, the incident occurred with 4:33 left in the third quarter, when the visiting Timberwolves held an 85-61 lead in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series.
After realizing teammate Rudy Gobert was being heckled by a fan, Edwards stepped in and told the fan how much money Gobert made. As the heckling continued, Edwards turned to the fans and grabbed his crotch while making a lewd comment.
Edwards had 22 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in the Game 1 win and looks to give Minnesota a two-game lead on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
