UF Receiver Latroy Pittman Carted Off After Devastating Blow To Head
Florida's Latroy Pittman was taken off the Florida Field turf tonight on a cart after taking a shot to the head that is horrifying to watch.
Pittman took the blow on the game's turning play, a late LSU interception that set up the winning Tigers field goal. Observers assumed the worst—especially given the speed at which emergency personnel attended to Pittman and how quickly his facemask was removed—but as he was rolled out the junior receiver displayed a thumbs-up to the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium crowd that had, until that point, been eerily silent.
If more information on Pittman's condition becomes available, we'll update this post.
