Unbeaten Houston jumps to No. 2 in AP Top 25 poll

No. 1 Purdue (14-1) got 54 of the 63 first-place ballots and seven went to the Cougars (14-0), the lone remaining Division I team without a loss.
The No. 3 Jayhawks (13-1) received the other two votes. No. 4 UConn (13-2) and No. 5 Tennessee (11-3) held firm.
No. 6 Kentucky (11-2) leads the second five, followed by North Carolina (11-3), Arizona (12-3), Oklahoma (13-1) and Illinois (11-3).
Auburn (12-2) was the week's biggest mover, vaulting nine spots to No. 16 after a win at Arkansas. Florida Atlantic (11-4) tumbled seven places after a loss to Charlotte.
James Madison (14-1) and Ole Miss (13-1) fell out of the Top 25 after sustaining their first losses of the season. Providence dropped out after two losses.
No. 19 San Diego State (13-2) and No. 22 Creighton (11-4) returned to the poll, and No. 20 Utah State (14-1) entered for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
