Vernon And Vontae Davis's Younger Brother Charged With Murdering A Man With A Claw Hammer
According to various reports out of Washington, D.C., police in the nation's capital have filed first-degree murder charges against Michael W. Davis, 19, in connection with the April 24 death of a Denver tourist.
The victim, 66-year-old Gary Dederichs, died from apparent head trauma after one in a series of separate attacks in which a perpetrator snuck up on unsuspecting people and hit them on the head with a hammer. Michael Davis was already being held on charges of assault with intent to kill as a result of two other attacks. After one of those incidents, cops found a claw hammer in a backpack Davis had tossed aside as he was being chased on foot.
