Mandatory Credit: Rhona Wise-USA TODAY Sports Willie Calhoun hit a walk-off two-run shot in the bottom of the 10th inning to cap a two-homer performance, lifting the Los Angeles Angels to a 6-5 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Friday night in Anaheim, Calif.
After Seattle snapped a 4-4 tie in the top of the 10th, Calhoun sent the second pitch of the home half of the inning over the right-center-field wall to pin the loss on Mariners reliever Austin Voth (2-3).
Automatic runner Taylor Ward also scored on Calhoun's game-winning blast.
Calhoun, who finished 2-for-5 thanks to another two-run home run in the first, made a winner out of Hans Crouse (2-0). Brandon Drury and Mickey Moniak also had two hits apiece as Los Angeles won for just the second time in six games.
Angels starter Tyler Anderson lasted six innings, giving up four runs and six hits without issuing a walk. He fanned four.
Mitch Garver had put Seattle up 5-4 in the top of the 10th when he sent a fly ball down the left field line that Ward dove for but couldn't glove. The ball jumped up into the stands for a ground-rule double, plating automatic runner Josh Rojas.
Julio Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer for the Mariners, who watched a three-game winning streak come to an end.
Los Angeles erased a 4-2 deficit with a pair of runs in the fourth.
Moniak led off with a double, advanced to third on a groundout and scored on Jo Adell's single. Anthony Rendon then walked to put Adell in scoring position, and Nolan Schanuel followed with a run-scoring single to tie things at 4.
Schanuel's base hit chased Mariners starter Bryan Woo from the game after the right-hander was tagged for the four runs on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings. Woo walked two and struck out one.
Cal Raleigh had given Seattle the 4-2 lead with a two-run shot in the third. It was Raleigh's fifth home run in the past four games.
The Mariners and Angels traded two-run homers in their respective halves of the first, with Rodriguez going deep for Seattle and Calhoun clearing the wall for Los Angeles.
