Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports The WNBA fined the Seattle Storm $5,000 on Tuesday for failing to comply with postgame media policies, the league announced Tuesday.
The Storm did not make available the requisite number of players at their news conference after a 98-85 home loss to the New York Liberty on Friday.
Star player Jewell Loyd and head coach Noelle Quinn attended the press conference, ESPN reported.
Seattle clinched a playoff berth despite the loss after missing the playoffs in 2023. The Storm entered the day at 19-13 record, fifth in the standings, with a game Tuesday night at the Connecticut Sun.
