This Vagenas Is The Only One Not Looking Forward To Beckham's Entry
Not everyone in Los Angeles is thrilled about the impending arrival of David Beckham. Galaxy midfielder Peter Vagenas is feeling a little bit chafed and irritated, and I think his frustration might have something to do with the fact that Beckham will be earning roughly 500 times what Vagenas takes in.
Vagenas opened up to BBC Five Live:
"I think, as we all are fans of soccer, he is David Beckham and a wise man told me you're worth what you negotiate. But at the same time, of course there's resentment, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't."
"On the one hand, more power to him, and on the other you say 'why can't I be getting some of that?'."
I think it's because you're Peter Vagenas.
