Forgive us for not posting the flashing alert siren on the top of the site now that Larry Brown is heading to the land of Charlotte. This will be his ninth NBA job, which is pretty insane; did Chris Gatling even bounce around that much? The real shock is that there was no Lupica column about it this morning. Alas, tomorrow.
So, the Bobcats blogs must be all a-twitter today, right?

Who says Michael Jordan hasn't revitalized the NBA in Charlotte?

Comments
So long and he's not dumped a team full of shoot-first point guards, I think he'll be OK.
Ya know. If he manages to stay alive that long.
Something tells me the Time Warner Cable arena is signifcantly less infected with spies.
INVIZIBL KIDZ ON MI LON
Larry Brown and Michael Jordan appear determined to prove F. Scott Fitzgerald wrong. Which is too bad, as their first acts were pretty sweet.
@SlickBomb: If he remembers to stay away from South Tryon Street, he might have a (small) chance.
Larry Brown's office will be at the Charlotte Extended Stay America.
It is a 100% guarantee that some WWL commenter will make a "What can Brown do for Charlotte?" reference.
There are Bobcats blogs? Arena football blogs I get, but Bobcats blogs?
@Carlton_Whitfield: obligatory "That's gold Jerry, gold!"
@Carlton_Whitfield: I saw that movie. Do. Not. Recommend.
They should move those fuckers to Oklahoma City instead of the Sonics.
What's the o/u on number of games he coaches before he resigns? Whatever it is, I'll take the under.
Basketball Teams Larry Brown Has Not Coached Yet:
- Toronto Raptors
- Atlanta Krunk
- Los Angeles Sparks
Say what you want about the Sports Feller, but his identification of Jordan as "The Next Isiah" is dead-on.
Larry Brown goes through NBA teams the way Prince goes through young female protegees. Which makes the Charlotte Bobcats equivalent to Tevin Campbell.
@Carlton_Whitfield:
I wonder if people said that in 2001, when Jordan got his awesome draft pick.
Unfortunately for Larry Brown, drought conditions and water-use restrictions make kids the least of his lawn's problems.
@Slothrop: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Thomas Wolfe; what's the difference?
Answer: I only find the second readable.
As a Bobcats fans, I have mixed emotions.
First: I am happy we have brown over vincent.
Second: We still have MJ as our GM.
Third: We still have Felton, May, and Morrison on our roster and they all suck.
Forth: Bob Johnson is still our owner.
I'll call it 2 years before LB fights someone
We can be fairly certain he'll never coach the Seattle Sonics.
Hey jerks, no love? [sportsbrethren.blogspot.com]
