The Gateway Grizzlies Will Clog Your Arteries If It's The Last Thing They Do
The team that gave you "Baseball's Best Burger" — a bacon cheeseburger with a Krispy Kreme doughnut used as a bun, has done it again. Now available at the Gateway Grizzlies concession area: Baseball's Best Soft Pretzel. And finally, that fifth doctor surrenders. Now five out of five doctors agree that Grizzlies games will kill you.
Baseball's Best Soft Pretzel will consist of a J&J Snack Foods SUPERPRETZEL that is marinated in Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce and served with mozzarella cheese melted over the top of it. The soft pretzel will come with your choice of ranch or blue cheese dressing and will cost $3.50.
But the Grizzlies, who play in Sauget, Illinois, and are a member of the Independent Frontier League, aren't simply known for their Super Pretzels and Krispey Kreme cheeseburgers. The best time to attend a game, in fact, is in July, when the Twinkie Dogs are in season. "A deep fried Twinkie is cut open and a hot dog is deep fried then placed in the middle. It is available from July 11th to July 13th." A health hazard? On the contrary; I'm having a hard time believing that the Twinkie Dog is not part of God's perfect plan.
