Celtics Fans Deliriously Happy, Somewhat Hung Over This Morning

• "Michelle You Look Great Tonight Girl!" I love Kevin Garnett but he officially scared the hell out of me tonight! Did you see Michelle Tafoya trying to interview him right after the buzzer sounded at half court? He went off on some crazy rant, looked at the camera with evil eyes, told Michelle she "looked great" and then screamed really loud in to the air. It was freakin' amazing! I just about hid under my blanket in fear while laughing hysterically. [ le basketbawl]

• There's Got To Be A Morning After. Personally, I’m not that happy today. That was a hard way to lose, and that leads to a lot of frustration — for the fans, the players, the coaches. Everyone. There’s going to be a little venting that goes along with an effortless loss like that in game six of the Finals. [ Forum Blue & Gold]

• Garnett: 'I'm Not Finna Sleep All Week'. Although the now-'certified' Kevin Garnett was wildin' out, he managed to use his classic line: 'Michelle, you look good tonight, girl.' KG...our guy! [ Odenized]

• Kobe Bryant, The Next Dirk Nowitzki. If Kobe Bryant is not the next Michael Jordan might he be the next Dirk Nowitzki? The story arcs are eerily similar. [ The Layup Line]

• At Laaaaaaaast. This bench was supposed to be the weakness of this team. The Lakers bench was supposed to be superior in every way. Well, so much for that. Oh and Scal: I know you've been a punchline for most of your career, and I don't expect that to change, but I'm glad you got your chance to tell it like it is. [ Upside And Motor]

• The 2008 NBA World Champions, The Boston Celtics. You see, while we were embarrassed in front of the entire world, there is a more important goal now. This is the time to start preparing to derail the Celtics of their pursuit of their 2nd straight NBA championship. This has just began… Give credit to the Celtics and their amazing, historical defensive performance. Remember how you feel right now. Congrats to the Boston Celtics. they were the better team and they played like it. We congratulate them… and at the same time, we here at TLN say we will see you next June, with Bynum and gang, ready to get revenge… ready to derail you. [ The Lakers Nation]

• The Boston Celtics Are Your 2007-2008 NBA Champions. Well Boston has done it again and I don't know what to say. There's not a single player on this team that you can hate (unless you're a Lakers fan) and you couldn't even really root against them (unless you're Jemele Hill). Screw all the particulars and stats....the Celtics put up 131 points (131!) and KG is certifiable. [ Awful Announcing]

• Banner 17 No Longer A Dream. Lastly, I just want to apologize to Doc Rivers for all the horrible things I've said about him. You did it, Doc. And you did it by coaching the hell out of a 9-time champion. No one, not even us fickle bloggers, will ever be able to take that away from you. [ BostonsportZ]

• Kobe Cements His Place In History As The Greatest Jordan Fraud Of All Time. Kobe's elimination game performance in Game 6 of the Finals was inspiring enough to remind us of another equally astounding elimination game performance in 1989 when Sixers center Mike Gminski courageously battled the Knicks front line, but mostly himself, eventually coming up short in the end, losing the series 3-0. [ The Sports Hernia Blog]

• Doc Rivers' Redemption Song. Doc Rivers is a champion, and he's not riding on anybody's coattails. This is David Thorpe, from TrueHoop's liveblog of Game 6: "I actually feel like if the coaching staffs were switched, L.A. would be winning. Doc and Co. have kicked Mr. Nine Rings up and down the floor." [ TrueHoop]
