Green Bay Television Station Failing At Hiding Its Brett Favre Separation Anxiety
After last week's Brett Favre ordeal mercifully came to an end in Green Bay, the Green Bay sporting press probablyfoolishly thought it could shift it's focus on to the Packers team that will actually represent their little calcium-rich hamlet of America this season. Though it appears post-Favre coverage will still be a centerpiece and now local television affiliate WFRV-TV, Channel 5 has vowed to "air as many Jets games as possible" this season so those still pining for the gunslinger on Sundays won't move to the Northeast. So far the station has tentatively lined up 8 games with Favre this season from CBS. Decidedly pro-Favre Nielsen families in Green Bay could make Aaron Rodgers' transition even more difficult if he starts losing games and losing in the ratings. For each time that happens, he should be forced to run a lap. Ch. 5 to air as many Jets games as possible [Green Bay Press Gazette] Favre cheered during penalty lap [SeattlePI]
