A-Rod Dated Famous 'Spitzer Gate' Madam
The New York Daily News is reporting that Kristin Davis provided the Yankees slugger with both hookers and personal companionship. He...definitely has a type.
In a story full of delicious quotes, former employees of Davis (infamous provider of professional intercourse technicians to one Eliot Spitzer) told the Daily News that she was so overwhelmed by A-Rod's charismatic roguishness, that she broke down the heretofore-sacred barrier between madam and john, and dated him herself...for free! Now, this was back before the current economic crisis forced each of us to count every last penny, so who knows if the same terms would have applied today. I like to think that they would, though. But then again, I'm a romantic like that.
Seems the two first met at a Philadelphia gym (where else?) back in June 2006, when A-Rod approached Davis and asked her out. Davis rebuffed his advances, and instead provided him with a number for her agency's recently-opened Philly branch. Rodriguez kindly took her up on the offer - but the chase was just beginning. To the email exchange!:
Rodriguez purportedly told Davis on Nov. 17, 2006: "Thanks for setting me up with Samantha. She was gorgeous. But she is not you. When can I see you you are gorgeous . . ."
The exchange goes on:
Davis: "Hi Alex. You don't want to see me. I'm no fun. lol. Just because your (sic) so sweet, here are some pics of me and I appreciate the compliments. Your (sic) a doll. Thanks, Kristin"
Rodriguez: "You have been playing hard to get for a year now, your (sic) killing me."
Davis: "It's not playing I am hard to get. Maybe you should try harder."
Rodriguez: "Kristin, I definitely will and I love the pics. I put the one on my cell so I can look at you all the time. Alex."
Davis: "You are too sweet. I'll let you know when I get someone you like."
Rodriguez, however, had already found what he liked. And if you think he gave up, then you obviously didn't read the headline. Davis eventually relented, and the two dated for an indeterminate period of time before she eventually called it off ("What was I supposed to do? He was married.") However, they obviously became pretty close, because Rodriguez felt safe enough in her arms to confess the pressures he felt playing baseball, which led him to start using PEDs:
"He told her that he'd used steroids," the source claimed. "He said a lot of players did. He just wanted to be a good ballplayer."
Well, mission accomplished, good sir.
A spokesperson for Rodriguez declined comment. Not because he had anything to hide, but because he was too busy commenting on the dozens of other A-Rod stories that seemingly get released on a daily basis. He'll get to this one next Thursday.
But seriously, if you had as much trouble as Rodriguez does keeping your numerous indiscretions with various women hidden - wouldn't you eventually just stick with making love to yourself, too?
