World Cup Sexy Fans: Legit, Or Viral Marketing?
With news that the scantily-clad Dutch blondes were actually models hired for a publicity stunt by a beer company, we thought it would be instructive to look at some of the other attention-grabbing female fans. Real or fake?
This German Fräulein has gone with the classic fright wig/bikini top/body paint combo. That might seem like a lot for the average fan, but look at her; She's got crazy eyes. Like, bunny-boiling eyes. I'll go with legit superfan here.
Real or fake: Real
Our Uruguayan friend caught the attention of photographers more than once with her spirited candombe. A girl with that build and those moves may seem too good to be true, but it's Latin America: women like this just walk the streets like normal people. Or so stereotypes tell us.
Real or fake: Real
The most obvious plant in the tournament. Never mind the full makeup, nor the fact that no one's talking to her. She's wearing the logo of an Australian tour organizer on her shirt, and in two temporary(?) tattoos.
Real or fake: Fake
That's more like it. This Aussie is rocking the Socceroos flag, and the national flag top. And she's surrounded by vuvuzelas; no professional model would stand for that.
Real or fake: Real
This young lady from South Korea gets creativity points for wearing y-front briefs in the colors of the host nation. If you were South African, wouldn't it at least cross your mind how those would look on you (or your woman)?
Real or fake: Fake
Another Korean fan, another possible plant: she doesn't seem to know the words to her own national anthem, like her seatmates. Will not be shown on North Korean TV, as Dear Leader wishes to portray all South Korean women as loathsome hags.
Real or fake: Fake
Do they even have viral marketing in Ghana?
Real or fake: Real
English lass. Has great teeth.
Real or fake: Fake
Oh no, I'm not falling for this one again, not after the Dutch fiasco. A bevy of impossibly attractive, impossibly Aryan "fans?" Fool me twice, shame on me.
Real or fake: Fake
Just two cute Danes? That's more believable. Also, the beer and cigarette are nice touches.
Real or fake: Real
Prominent website URL on the chest, much larger than the Swiss flag patch?
Real or fake: Fake
This French ingenues have much to learn about the art of showing skin at a soccer match. But they're young; they've got time.
Real or fake: Real
We think this young lady is from Spain. We don't know if she's legit, or a plant, and frankly, we don't care.
Real or fake: Back off, she's ours.
